Welcome to Pre-Prep and Prep

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) at The Village School for Girls consists of our Nursery and Reception classes. The early years are a time of wonder and discovery, and our PrePrep and Prep classes focus on the holistic development of the girls’ social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and wellbeing. We ensure that every day is filled with enjoyable and enriching activities, enabling the girls to make the most of their learning experience.

Our experienced staff ensure that the pastoral care of your daughter is at the heart of everything we do. This approach allows us to foster a nurturing environment where the girls feel happy, safe, and secure enough to take risks and challenge themselves.

We value the importance of the parent’s role in their child’s development and education from birth: the experience of school complements the experience of home.

Communication with parents is ongoing, from daily informal catch-ups at drop-off and pick-up, to weekly updates and photographs in the school newsletter. Regular observations take place, and these inform the termly parent-teacher meetings and end of year report.
