Wellbeing in EYFS
The wellbeing of the pupils is our priority in everything we do. We want all our girls to be comfortable in their own skin, to be happy, kind and resilient. We celebrate and value individuality and always take the time to get to know every child; our school size ensures that every member of staff, from PrePrep to IIIrd Form and beyond, knows every girl by both name and nature.
Our high ratio of adults to children means the girls receive a lot of individual focus, support and encouragement. The small class sizes allow them to learn at their own pace, so they can fully flourish and develop. Assemblies and school productions build an inner resilience in the girls and allows them the safe space to perform with confidence.
The Village School for Girls is an incredibly happy place to be, with strong relationships across the age groups. Our older girls spend time with all the younger children in the school, offering guidance and support throughout the year, reading and playing with them as well as looking out for them in the playground and at lunchtimes. This connection between all our girls creates a strong, kind, caring community which resonates through events such as Sports Day and Grandparents’ Day.

“I think the Village School is everything that you would want in a primary school for girls and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.”
